Lotus XI Le Mans, 1957,UK registration , FIA and FIVA papers.Much rarer than rare, this legendary Lotus Eleven LM chassis nr.300 has been the first example of the Second Series cars built in only 85 units. It was purchased at Goodwood in April 1957 by Mr. Dan Margulies, who successfully drove it at Aspern Circuit in Austria and in the Giro di Sicilia; then the car was used by several other drivers at Nuerburgring, Spa Francorchamps and the Mount Ventoux hill climb, in France. Very well known by the Historic Lotus Register, this car is in excellent condition and it’s accompanied by proper FIA and FIVA papers, by some letters autographed by Dan Margulies himself and by a huge amount of historic and restoration documents. Dedicated to the most sophisticated connoisseur or the bravest classic racing driver, this beauty has an ambitious driving character and a quite exacting price.
